Remember that song that goes like "I don't want no scrubs..."? Well girl if you just got back from vacations then yes you want a scrub and what's more important you NEED one.
I know I do, mostly because on vacation I totally neglected my skincare. Like, who has time to scrub and hydrate when you can spend all day at the beach and then go clubbing? Unfortunately now I have to go the extra mile to prepare my skin for winter, because it screams "MOISTURIZE ME" at me! (Totally worth it, I regret nothing!). So, let me give you tips and tricks to go back to baby smooth exfoliated skin. (Seriously, who thought "baby smooth"?It's really creepy saying that)

I am using 2 things to exfoliate my skin: a coffee scrub by Scrub Love and Lé Edge.

  • Lé Edge is a personal exfoliation tool for the face and body, basically is a stainless steel edge that scrapes off the dead skin cells. I didn't try it on my face but I did see results on my legs. I showcase both of the products on a portion of my leg but I did try them on my whole body so that I can actually talk about results. I used Lé Edge after rinsing off the coffee scrub so that it would complement the results of the scrub and remove and dead cells lifted by the scrub that I didn't completely remove. Gross fact, I did see some of my ingrown hair being freed after using this so that means it works as advertised. I was really skeptical about this product as I have never tried something similar. If ingrown hair is a problem that concerns you, or if you don't want to use scrubs for whatever reason then I suggest you invest on this or something similar. I don't recommend it being used on plain wet skin though, I tried it and it was kinda rough for me. However, combined with a soap or oily substance it's pretty good. • Coffee Scrub, I have a lot to say about this product. When you open the package the smell of coffee and orange fills the place. I really liked that! I usually used scrubs that were in the form of a cream, so this was a first. This scrub is how you see it below. You can read their 100% organic ingredients here. I used it on wet skin and the results were impressive. The natural oil in the ingredients really helped with the scrubbing and it helped make my skin so soft! It comes with instructions but I kind of didn't follow them exactly. I applied it after my bath, so my skin was wet, rubbed, left it on for a while and then rinsed. Like I said part the ingredients is oil (almond and orange) so you either have to wait a bit for the oil to be absorbed by your skin as much as possible, or use soap to remove it completely. I suggest to wait so don't do this before going out. I did use this on my face as well. My skin is combination to oily but when I woke up next morning it was fine (unless my pillow got it all). Washed my face and I was ready for my makeup routine. This product, I will buy again and again and I recommend it 100% (unless you are allergic to any of the ingredients obviously). One thing I didn't like is that I can't reseal the package. It seems to have a stripe for it but it was covered in coffee scrub so I can't be sure if that's what it was. Maybe the company will think about that in the future, it's useful.
Final thoughts and results:I will definitely keep on using the Scrub Love often, but the Lé Edge was a bit harsh on my skin, so I will use it less frequently, if my skin get really rough or I have ingrown hair.
